Description
Four days completely dedicated to the twenty-first edition of one of the most important granfondo in Tuscany: the Green Fondo Paolo Bettini in the province of Pisa. For the first two days, we’ll train together like a real pro team, riding part of the competition trail and planning our strategy for the race. The third day, we’ll compete against the 700 participants along the race course that will take us through some of the most famous and evocative places in the provinces of Pisa and Siena. We’ll ride a track that was partly the stage for important professional races like the Tirreno-Adriatico. We’ll leave from Pomarance, a small town of about 5,000 residents located on the border of Pisa and Siena and ride on enchanting hills, by churches, and through ancient hamlets and go to many places, such as Montecerboli, Serrazzano and Larderello as well as municipalities with Etruscan origins like Montecatini Val di Cecina and Castelnuovo Val di Cecina. We’ll also take on many difficult slopes, including the famous and frightening Muro di Cerreto.
