Media Valle del Serchio

Mystery and Appeal

The Media Valle del Serchio is an area full of mystery and appeal, embraced by the Apuan Alps and the Tosco-Emiliano Apennines, and crossed by the Serchio River. The valley is home to important historic and architectural heritage, as seen from the medieval hamlets, rich in cultural and food-and-wine traditions.

The valley also has a highly valuable natural patrimony: forests, rivers and streams, grottoes and limestone ravines are all part of the amazing landscape. This area is the perfect union between nature and tradition and has an altitude that varies between 52 and 1964 meters (171-6,400 feet) above sea level, ideal for cyclists who aren’t afraid of the hills.
